The Limestone Coast Landscape Board would like to fund feral deer eradication on your property, and this is an opportunity for you to:

  • Fulfil your obligations under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019.

    Aerial shooting schedule for 2026

    Aerial culling will re-commence on 27 April 2026 on approved areas of public land, managed conservation areas, privately managed plantations and participating private properties across the Limestone Coast. Please note these dates and areas are subject to change and will be updated accordingly.

    • 27 April to 5 May 2026 (10 days, Wattle Range forestry and surrounding areas): Private land surrounding Wangolina, Reedy Creek, Mount Benson, Avenue Range, Lucindale, Spence, Bray, Greenways, Fox, Coles, Maaoupe, Clay Wells, Kangaroo Inn, Furner, Short, Wattle Range East, Wattle Range, Monbulla, Moerlong and Kongart. Conservation Parks (CP) include Big Heath CP, Mary Seymour CP, Penola CP, Reedy Creek CP, Furner CP. Forestry SA Native Forest Reserves (NFR) include: Konetta NFR, Khayyam NFR.
    • 6 May to 10 May 2026 (5 days, Lucindale and surrounding areas): Private land surrounding Naracoorte, Lucindale, Reedy Creek, Blackford, Woolumbool, Lochaber, Padthaway, West Range, Avenue Range, Stewart Range, Marcolla and, Keilira. Conservation Parks (CP) include Fairview CP, Padthaway CP, Mount Scott CP, Talapar CP.
    • 11 May to 15 May 2026 (5 days, Northern Limestone Coast): Private land surrounding Laffer, Keith, Tilley Swamp, Petherick, Willalooka, Taratap, Keilira and Marcollat. Conservation Parks (CP) include Gum Lagoon CP, Hanson Scrub CP, Jip-Jip CP and Tilley Swamp CP.

    Pilots will endeavour to minimise disturbance to farmhouses, working sheds, horse yards and areas containing livestock.

    The LC Landscape Board undertakes its shooting operations in partnership with PIRSA and the Department for Environment and Water.

    Ground shooting schedule for 2026

    Ground shooting for 2026 has now commenced:

    • January to 30 June 2026 - Ground culling operation on private land in the upper Limestone Coast.
    • 16 February to 30 June 2026 – Ground culling on roadsides: Taunta Hut Road, Cantara Road, Petherick Road, Henry Creek Road, Tapfields Road, Taratap Road, Robertson Road, Bells Road, West Range Road, Williams Road, Murrabina Road, Blackford Road, Marwoods Road, Hirsts fire track, Bin Bin Road, Vandepeer Road, Bald Hill Road, Minnie Crowe Road, Ballater Road, Beaumaris Road, Lochaber North Road, Woolumbool Road, Nyroca Road, Mount Scott Road, Carrachers Road, Vandepeer Road, James Road, Pidgeon Box Road, Water valley Road, Vogelsang Road, Burns Road, Verco Road.

    Ground shooting is conducted by professional contractors.

    The LC Landscape Board will provide additional correspondence to landholders participating in ground shooting when operations occur in their area.
